Hi, I'm Derek.
I build web apps and migrate data.

Who am I?

I'm a Full Stack Engineer and Lead Conversion Engineer with several years of experience developing and maintaining web applications. I work comfortably on both sides of the stack, and across my career I've delivered scalable, efficient solutions, many of them built on AWS.

As a conversion lead, I take data out of the systems an organization is leaving behind and bring it into the one it's moving to. That means understanding messy source data, mapping it onto a new model, scripting migrations that can be rerun safely, and proving that every record made it across.

My résumé covers my experience, education, and certifications, and my GitHub has some of what I've built. If you'd like to talk about how I could help your team, reach out.
